We hope that the past few blog entries have offered you a chance to become more familiar with the graduate programs in student affairs at The University of Georgia. This week, we want to give you the best representation of our programs, our students. We asked two students, one alumnus and one current doctoral student, to share their experiences with you.
Cara Winston Simmons is a part-time doctoral student in the CSAA-D program. She currently works full-time as a coordinator in the Office of Graduate Affairs within UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Cara received a bachelors and masters (CSAA-M) from UGA, and now she is on her way to a doctorate from UGA as well!

For prospective doctoral students considering this program, what would you tell them that a website or brochure might not be able to adequately describe?
Dr. T. W. Cauthen is currently the Assistant Vice President for Academic, Campus, and Community Partnerships in the Division of Student Affairs at The University of Georgia. He supports the efforts of the Center for Leadership and Service, International Student Life, the LGBT Resource Center, Multicultural Services and Programs, and Student Affairs for UGA – Extended campuses. He received his Ph.D. and master’s degree from the UGA CSAA programs and a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
